History
The Holiday Park Site in Alma, Michigan, is an archaeological site a few hundred meters south of the Pine River. It preserves the remains of a Late Woodland period village that covered about 0.5 acre, or 0.20 hectares. The site is important because it provides evidence of earlier Indigenous occupation in the Pine River area. Its historical value was formally recognized when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
