Mytoi is a small Japanese garden on Chappaquiddick Island in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, set within an open pine forest and centered on a small pond with an island reached by an arched footbridge. Its carefully composed design gives it a quiet character within the surrounding woodland. The Trustees of Reservations acquired Mytoi in 1976 as a gift from Mary Wakeman and enlarged the property in 1981. It remains a protected garden landscape on Chappaquiddick.
