Tascosa Courthouse, built in 1884, served 12 counties in the Panhandle and was the site of trials for killings that had filled Boothill Cemetery. It remained the Oldham County seat until 1915, was for many years the headquarters of the Julian Bivins Ranch, and was the birthplace of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in 1939.
