Leadbetter Point State Park occupies the northern tip of Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula, about 16 miles north of Long Beach, where the Pacific Ocean lies to the west and Willapa Bay to the east. Bordering the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, it is valued as both a nature preserve and a public recreation area. Its coastal shores and marshes create important bird habitat, including Hines Marsh, where the Martha Jordan Birding Trail passes through wintering grounds for trumpeter swans.
