Perry Hall was one of the largest houses in Maryland. It was begun in 1773 by Corbin Lee and completed in 1776 by Harry Dorsey Gough. The east wing of the mansion partially burned in 1824 and was repaired by Harry Dorsey Gough Carroll about 1825. The owners restored it in 1967.
