Abrams Falls Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park begins in Cades Cove and follows Abrams Creek, the park’s longest stream entirely within its boundaries, past Abrams Falls to a junction with the Hannah and Hatcher Mountain trails. Named for the Cherokee chief Oskuah, later called Abram, the creek and falls anchor a route known for easy streamside walking, short ridge climbs, and views of a powerful waterfall that drops only 20 feet into a broad natural pool. A side path leads to the Elijah Oliver Place, linking the trail to the former settler community of Cades Cove before the area became national parkland.
