Fort Jennings honors local service members across many generations who served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, Army National Guard, U.S. Merchant Marine, Ohio National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve, with service spanning World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Pearl Harbor, the invasion of Okinawa, and service in Europe, Germany, Italy, and Southeast Asia. The roll includes men and women from the community with varied ranks, units, specialties, awards, and periods of service from the late 1930s into the present, including those killed in action and those remembered as prisoners of war or missing in action, under the pledge that Fort Jennings will never forget.
