Decatur County was represented in the Tennessee Senate by James Lemuel Jones in the 46th General Assembly from 1889 to 1891, William Riley Tuten in the 51st General Assembly from 1899 to 1901, James Tate Rogers in the 57th General Assembly from 1911 to 1912, serving at the time of his death on 1-18-19, and James Kirk Vise in the 71st General Assembly from 1939 to 1941.
