In Titusville, Florida, the American Space Museum and the US Space Walk of Fame preserve the history of American crewed spaceflight by honoring not only astronauts but also the NASA and contractor workers behind it. Developed through a partnership between the city and the US Space Walk of Fame Foundation, the waterfront memorial project began with Space View Park in 1994 and expanded with monuments for Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle.
