Hamden Bridge is a wooden covered bridge over the West Branch of the Delaware River in Hamden, New York, built in 1859 as a single-span timber-and-plank road bridge 128 feet long and 18 feet wide. It was designed and built by Robert Murray, a Scottish emigrant known for constructing numerous covered bridges in upstate New York, including nine in Delaware County. Though a center pier added in 1940 was later removed, the bridge has been carefully restored and remains open to vehicular traffic. Its significance has been recognized by its 1999 listing on the National Register of Historic Places and its 2001 designation as a New York Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.
