Triceratops Tracks
Nature
13
Several tracks of Triceratops or a closely related horned dinosaur were discovered in this area. Among horned dinosaurs, Triceratops is the most likely maker of the tracks because many of its bones have been found at sites in the Denver Metro Area, including Green Mountain, Belmar Park, and Coors Field. A Triceratops front footprint here shows five toes, or digits, and no pad at the base. A replica of a four-toed Triceratops back footprint found during construction of the Fossil Trace Golf Course also appears here, and arrows indicate the direction of travel.
