Pi-wan-go-ning Prehistoric District is an archaeological district on the Lake Michigan shore north of Norwood, Michigan, made up of the Pewangoing Quarry, Whiskey Creek, and Fritz Trail sites. It is significant for preserving evidence of prehistoric flint quarrying along this stretch of shoreline. Pewangoing Quarry is the southernmost of the three sites, with Whiskey Creek to the north and Fritz Trail about a kilometer farther on. Together, these related quarry locations mark an important prehistoric resource area that was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
