Little Klickitat Falls is a 16-foot waterfall on the Little Klickitat River in Washington, high in steep canyon country north of Interstate 84 near Horseshoe Bend canyon. Though modest in height, it changes strikingly with water levels, sometimes running dry early in the season and spreading to as much as 100 feet wide in flood conditions. Shallow bedrock at the center of the drop influences the water’s path across this high-desert basalt landscape. Among whitewater paddlers, the falls are known as a runnable drop at flood flows, with additional rapids upstream, but the site itself lies on private land, limiting access.
