Jack's Creek Covered Bridge is a county-owned wooden covered bridge over the Smith River in Patrick County, Virginia, and the county's only surviving historic covered bridge. Built in 1914, though some sources say 1916, it was designed by Walter G. Weaver and constructed by Charlie Elam Vaughn in oak to serve Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Its 48-foot single-span queenpost truss preserves a once-common rural bridge form. Although replaced for traffic by a steel-beam bridge in 1932, it was preserved, altered in 1969, restored in 1974, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Its survival through 2015 flooding further underscored its regional importance.
