Bob White Covered Bridge was a wooden covered road bridge over the Smith River southeast of Woolwine in Patrick County, Virginia, on the old alignment of Bob White Road. Built in 1921 by Walter G. Weaver, the 80-foot Queen-post truss carried local traffic and provided access to the Smith River Church of the Brethren. Also known as the Lower Covered Bridge or Woolwine Covered Bridge, it was one of Patrick County’s last surviving historic covered bridges and a well-known local landmark. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, it was bypassed in 1981, destroyed by flooding in 2015, and removed from the register in 2017.
