Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Navarre, Florida, is a wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation center that cares for injured and displaced animals while serving as a regional hub for environmental outreach. Founded in 1994 in Okaloosa County and first run from private homes, it later used makeshift facilities before gaining permanent quarters in 2005 through community support. In 2019, it opened a purpose-built site in Navarre with help from volunteers and charitable groups. With a raptor rehabilitation center and professional staff, it typically treats about 130 animals at a time and also assists with wildlife emergencies and investigations involving endangered animals.
