The Cloverdale Reveille is the oldest weekly newspaper continuously published under the same name in California. Founded in the 1870s and surviving the ups and downs of frontier journalism, it was adjudicated by the Sonoma County Superior Court, which identified and validated the newspaper, allowing it to publish legal notices and qualify for United States Postal Service 2nd Class status. It is still publishing under the same name and under the court order issued long ago.
