Established before 1824 by Nathaniel Lynch, one of Austin's first colonists, on land granted August 19, 1824, this ferry received the exclusive privilege to operate at this point on January 1, 1830, from the Ayuntamiento of San Felipe and is now known as Lynchburg Ferry.
