The cornerstone of Saint John of the Cross Parish Church, Rectory, and Cemetery was laid by Bishop Jackson Kemper, D.D., on December 29, 1843 A.D. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1980 A.D. A dedication followed on May 24, 1981 A.D., by the Rt. Rev. E.J. Tinsley, Bishop of Bristol, England.
