The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park, Colorado, is a fossil museum devoted mainly to North America’s Late Cretaceous life. Opened in May 2004 as a temporary repository for specimens collected and cast by Triebold Paleontology Incorporated, it combines public exhibition with fossil preparation and research. Its two main halls present terrestrial animals such as dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and fossil mammals, and marine life including fish, mosasaurs, and plesiosaurs, with many original specimens and replicas. Tactile displays, a preparation lab, guided tours, and children’s activities support hands-on learning, while scientifically important fossils, including holotypes, have passed through on their way to academic institutions.
