Ike Kinswa State Park occupies the north side of Lake Mayfield, about 3 miles northwest of Mossyrock, with 421 acres and 46,000 feet of shoreline along the Tilton River and near the former meeting point of the Tilton and Cowlitz rivers. The park developed after Mayfield Dam was built in 1963 and created the present lake landscape. First called Mayfield Lake State Park, it was renamed in 1971 for Ike Kinswa of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, who had received a 165-acre land patent from President Benjamin Harrison during Harmony's early development. The park now supports many water and land recreation activities and is managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
