MoCA Long Island, formally the Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island, is a contemporary art museum in downtown Patchogue that serves as a local center for current art within the village’s cultural district. Established in 2008 and managed by the Patchogue Arts Council, it features an open visitor space with work by regional artists and emphasizes ties to the local creative community. Its operations receive support in part from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The museum occupies a mixed-use building that also includes a small nonprofit-run cinema and forty-five apartment units opened in 2011.
