Erected in 1818 as the home of Dr. Henry Detwiller, the first homeopathic physician in Penna., this building later passed in 1852 to Dr. Wm. P. Detwiller, son of the original owner. The home was altered to become the Central Hotel, and in 1939 Dr. Henry D. Heller acquired the property. After extensive restorations, the building was dedicated as Borough Hall on July 4, 1942.
