Bead Geyser is a cone-type geyser in Yellowstone National Park’s Lower Geyser Basin and part of the Pink Cone Group, which includes Pink Cone Geyser and nearby springs and geysers. It is notable for its regular behavior: eruptions usually reach about 25 feet, last around 2½ minutes, and recur at intervals of roughly 28 to 36 minutes, with a pattern that stays consistent during a given period. Its name comes from “geyser eggs,” loose spherical pieces of geyserite once found around it. Those formations were later removed by souvenir hunters, so the name preserves a feature that no longer remains there.
