The men and women of Hillsdale served in the armed forces of the United States and gave the full measure of devotion to preserve America's heritage of freedom. Those honored include participants in World War I, 1914-1917, with honored dead Clarence Closson and Ralph Steitz; World War II, 1941-1945, with honored dead Ralph Shutts; Korea, 1951-1955; and Vietnam, 1962-1975, with honored dead John Pfeiffer.
