The Three Sisters is a small mountain range, or possibly one mountain with three summits, in the northeastern Temescal Mountains in Woodcrest, unincorporated Riverside County, California. Located east and north of Mockingbird Canyon and south of Woodcrest, it includes a highest peak locally called Flat Top for its distinctly flattened summit. That unusual shape has inspired local rumors about how the top was leveled, though the name comes from its appearance. The Three Sisters is closely tied to local life, serving as a place for walking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding on Flat Top, and Woodcrest’s annual Fourth of July fireworks.
