Americans killed in action in the Korean War, Vietnam War, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and Operation Iraqi Freedom included PVT Donald I. Bell, CPL Thomas R. Hardy, PFC Lawrence A. Stalnaker, SPC William T. Pittman, SPC John T. Walls, 1st SGT Luke J. Mercardante, SPC Joshua H. Reeves, and SPC Evan Marshall. Their deaths are honored alongside words declaring that those who died for the right to speak in freedom are buried in many places under the sun, that the American flag flies proudly over their graves while praying that wars might end forever, and that it rises every morning to watch over the graves of these finest men whose years were short but whose service was longer than can ever be measured.
