The first Episcopal church built with money raised by the people of the town was dedicated July 21, 1872, and was located across the street. In 1897 the building was moved to Delamar, where it burned. In 1922 Bishop Hunting bought this building, which had been the Miners Union Hall, and it was dedicated in 1923.
