This Victorian style house was built around 1885 and was purchased by Adolphus Podva and Mary Alma McPherson for ten gold coins. In 1911, one of their three sons, Roger, and his wife Ruby May Oswill purchased it and lived there until 1977. Ruby May Oswill was appointed acting postmistress in 1933 and postmistress in 1940, serving until 1963.
