Sally White lived in Churdan in Greene County with her husband, Paul White, and their three children, Julie, Rick, and Cari. Always interested in photography, she turned to it in 2010 with Paul’s loving persistence to lift herself from personal pain and depression. Using her camera as her paintbrush, she photographed the birds in her own backyard while Paul built new and unusual bird feeders as she took more pictures. Their backyard was designated a federal wildlife sanctuary, and her photographs were presented as unique, beautiful, and authentic to each bird’s individuality.
