Harris Rift Mountain is in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, within the Town of Indian Lake and east of Indian Lake itself. It stands in the central Adirondacks, a landscape of forested uplands and lakes. Although little more is given about the mountain itself, its location places it within one of the best-known mountain regions in the northeastern United States.
