Mount Douglas is an 11,287-foot mountain in Montana’s Absaroka Range, located in Gallatin National Forest within the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. As the highest peak in Sweet Grass County, it holds special geographic prominence in a region known for some of south-central Montana’s most rugged high country. The mountain was named for E. M. Douglas of the United States Geological Survey.
