Dr. José Rodriguez was a pioneer physician in E. Franklin Co. who practiced here from 1850 to 1879. Born in Tepian, Cuba, to Castilian Spanish parents, he immigrated to the U.S., studied medicine at Natchez, and married Rebecca Lazarus in 1851.
