Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas, is a 200-acre urban preserve that brings together several North Texas landscapes, including Blackland Prairie, Riparian Forest, and Upland Forest. Designed for both recreation and nature observation, it offers paved and unpaved hiking trails, an off-road bike trail, and amenities such as restrooms, a playground, a reservable pavilion, and an observation tower overlooking its varied terrain. Wildlife is central to the preserve’s character, with many bird species as well as deer, coyotes, bobcats, turtles, rabbits, snakes, and fish.
