The land occupied by 99M, a 220,000-square-foot LEED Platinum Class A office building, was once the site of Normandie Liquors, a business that became a symbol of old versus new in the neighborhood as it remained while nearby office buildings such as 20M and 80M rose. Normandie Liquors was demolished in early February 2008, after which the site was used as a surface parking lot until construction began in 2015. The completed building includes 11 stories of office space, a rooftop terrace, and more than 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space with a coffee shop and other restaurants.
