The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library is a nonprofit museum and research library in Collegeville, Minnesota, dedicated to preserving and sharing manuscripts from libraries worldwide while keeping the originals in their home repositories. Founded in 1964 amid concern over wartime losses and threats to cultural heritage, it began by microfilming manuscripts in Austrian monasteries and later expanded across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. After shifting from microfilm to digital photography in 2003, it greatly broadened its work, including major projects in Ethiopia and Mali. By 2025, it had preserved images of about 486,000 manuscripts through partnerships with more than 1,500 libraries.
