Munsinger Gardens and Clemens Gardens are adjacent botanical gardens along the Mississippi River in St. Cloud, Minnesota, together covering 21 acres. Munsinger began as parkland in 1915 on a former sawmill site and took much of its present form in the 1930s through Works Progress Administration projects that added trees, flowerbeds, paths, a lily pond, and a fountain; it was later updated and expanded in the 1980s. Clemens developed mainly in the 1990s through Bill and Virginia Clemens and was given to the city. The two gardens are known for their contrasting informal and formal styles, distinctive fountains, and celebrated garden rooms.
