More than 530 sisters are buried in this hallowed ground, with deaths dating from 1852 to 1967, when the cemetery was closed to burials. These sisters ministered throughout the local area by educating children and caring for orphans and, as a fruit of their prayer and adoration before the blessed sacrament, kept the Catholic faith alive and flourishing for the generations that followed them.
