During World War II from 1941 to 1945, 650 men and women of the Bloomfield community fought in the war. The citizens of Bloomfield offered grateful remembrance to the living and the dead and honored their war dead in loving memory: Paul Kenneth Bidwell, John Raymond Caruso, Roland Comp, Joseph Edward Dubisky, Clifford Ferris, Harold R. Freckleton, Trayton A. Frost, Oscar Giannette, Stanley Godlewski, John Francis Guglietta, Jr., Kenneth H. Hoffman, Neal L. Hubbard, Harry John Kelley, Charles F. Politis, Bertrand K. Sawyer, Ernest G. Tavener, and Winston E. Waite. May they rest in peace.
