Ernest "Mooney" Warther and Frieda Warther built their home beginning in 1910 and moved in by 1912, living there for 63 years while raising their five children. The house was constructed of locally made burned brick, chosen because it was less expensive but stronger. The home remained part of the Warther family, and their oldest daughter Florence lived there until 2005.
