Wayne County Veterans Memorial honors those from Wayne County who served in World War I, World War II, Korea, the Global War on Terrorism, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, and bears the inscription, “To cherish liberty one need only remember how it was earned,” attributed to Mark M. Beckler in 1988, followed by the names of the veterans from each conflict.
