This memorial was dedicated to the men and women of Scranton High School in grateful recognition of their valor and service in World War II. It was erected on June 1, 1947, in sacred memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice: William Everett Collins, Leighton Lamar Daniel, Virgil Burke Driggers, Joseph Perlon Garris, Carl Pendleton Lee, and Clarence Belon Williams, Jr.
