This burial site contains the remains of some of Lititz's earliest residents. In 1744, John George Klein gave permission to build Saint James Church on his land, a small log structure used as a Union church by the Lutheran Reformed, Mennonite, and Moravian settlers of Warwick Township. The church was the first built after Count Von Zinzendorf's visit in 1742 and was established 12 years before the town of Lititz was founded in 1756.
