Built in 1878, this farmhouse is the oldest wooden structure in San Juan Capistrano. It once belonged to Pony Express rider Joel Congdon, who grew Orange County's first walnut grove. Having survived more than 130 years of social, agricultural, and environmental change, it stands as a reminder that preserving the past helps cultivate a more abundant future.
