Davis House
History
7
The Davis House is a two-story log home whose original construction date is unknown. Its current appearance suggests the late 1800s, but the structure could date to the early 1800s. Built by an unknown person, it has been speculatively attributed to Steven Lanham. It originally stood between the Bates-Conway House and Chesterfield Parkway. Improved over time to reach its present appearance, the house and its original property passed through many owners, including members of the Conway, Mertz, and Hoch families.
