Cook House
History
2
This board and batten wood-frame building served as the living quarters for the Burdell family cook until the beginning of the 20th century. An abundance of wire nails suggests that it may later have been rebuilt for other purposes, probably when the shed on the east end was added. During archeological excavations in the 1970's, archeologist Charles Slaymaker modified the interior to serve as part of his on-site living quarters.
