Gianella Bridge was built cooperatively by Butte and Glenn Counties from 1908 to 1911. It was designed by civil engineer John B. Leonard of San Francisco and built by Cotton Bros. and Co. of Oakland. It was recorded for the Historic American Engineering Record in 1984, then replaced and removed in 1987.
