The Oscar Elm is a registered Ulmus americana measuring 115 feet tall with a 19.5-foot girth, a survivor of the Dutch Elm plague that remains healthy and still growing. The only taller elm in New York State is in Fulton County at 140 feet tall with a 15.7-foot girth. No elm in New York or New England, and only about two dozen in the U.S.A., exceed Oscar in both height and girth.
