Packsaddle Bridge is a historic covered bridge in Fairhope Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, carrying a road over Brush Creek. Built in 1877, it is a 48-foot Kingpost truss bridge with full vertical plank siding and large cut-stone abutments that give the small span a sturdy traditional character. As one of 10 covered bridges in Somerset County, it reflects a regional landscape where 19th-century road crossings remain important to local heritage. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 recognized it as a surviving example of Pennsylvania’s covered-bridge tradition and as a preserved piece of late-19th-century rural engineering still serving as a functional crossing.
