Mary's Tavern
Industry
8
Constructed in 1907 by Stanley and Antonia Kwapis, the building operated as a grocery store until the Great Depression in the 1930s forced it to close. In 1933, their daughter Mary (Kwapis) Luzenski opened Mary's Tavern there. In 1947, the business was sold to Mary's sons, Bob and Leonard "Ike" Luzenski. Kat Steinbrecher purchased the tavern in 2020 and retained the name Mary's, making it one of the longest running businesses in Gaylord.
